Dear visitor,
Welcome to my page! Perhaps the most important thing to know about me is I've wanted to be a journalist ever since I was seven years old. I spent part of my childhood in Ghana with my mum, dad and two sisters. My parents always encouraged my sisters and I to read and never bought us the entertaining children's channels. Rather our house was stacked with books and daily newspapers. So often when I was bored, I would pick up a newspaper and pretend to be like the broadcasters I admired on television news stations. I did this well into my teen years - even when we finally got those extra channels!
This little hobby of mine spurred my interest in people, performing and media and I began actively pursuing a career in journalism and presenting when I was 16 years old. Today I hold an MSc in Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Management from Imperial College London and a BSc in Journalism from the world's top journalism school, Northwesetern University's Medill School of Journalism.
My love for people and their stories has driven me to innovate, produce videos and present for major news outlets around the world including CNBC International.
While with CNBC International, I worked closely with the news brand's president and executives to build innovative strategies that helped CNBC engage with younger audiences.
Moreover I produced, presented and edited videos that garnered millions of views for the brand. In fact, one of the videos I edited and produced (Vietnam had zero coronavirus deaths in 2020. Here's why.) was among the top trending videos in the United States and has since garnered more than five million views.
My experience working with brands around the world, as well as creating my own ventures has provided me with the skills to perform at a high standard and to produce innovative strategies to reach an array of audiences.
On this page I will keep you updated with my work wherever I am. I hope you learn from the people I meet - the same way I did.
Best wishes,
Timothyna
